WHO ARE WE?
Ansaar is a small registered charity and a voluntary organisation, supporting adults with learning disabilities in Leicestershire.

We work in partnership with adults who have learning disabilities. All our services are co-produced with local communities to deliver culturally responsive services.

Ansaar uses a person centred approach to support adults with learning disabilities to reach their potential by recognising their passions, strengths and skills.

We encourage learning disabilities rights by influencing positive changes through representation and advocating at various forums, meetings and events locally and nationally.
Ansaar delivers the 'Be-Inspired' project which consists of facilitating inter-active sessions for adults with learning disabilities.

Our sessions help develop confidence, promote independence and encourage positive wellbeing. Our sessions also motivate informal learning through activities that promote literacy and numeracy. All our activities are planned to be culturally appropriate, fun, interactive and tailored around individuals abilities and interests. The activities are further designed to support integration into the wider community.

OUR VISION
Ansaar’s vision is equality for all adults with learning disabilities. We challenge negative stereotypical views, myths and break down cultural barriers to transform prospects of what is possible and ensure that adults with learning disabilities achieve their full potential.
Disability Confident Employer
Ansaar is proud to be a Disabilities Confident Employer. Our commitment to this goal is demonstrated by the fact that Ansaar employs individuals with learning disabilities. Ansaar also encourages adults with learning disabilities to gain experience by volunteering with Ansaar.
