Ansaar is a Leicester-based community project, specifically set up for people with Learning Disabilities.

The project was set up in January 2003 after concern was raised regarding the cultural and social difficulties, faced by people with learning disabilities, their carers and families.

The word 'Ansaar' comes from the Arabic language which means 'helpers'.
